Events planned for both sides of Tasman

After an incredibly disruptive year in 2020, the Forest Industry Engineering Association (FIEA) has, in conjunction with a wide cross section of industry on both sides of the Tasman, developed an Events Planner for this year. Source: Timberbiz

With a series of technology webinars run during lockdown last year (which doesn’t even come close to meeting up in person) and then record turnouts attending the FIEA technology events that were run in Rotorua in October and November of last year, there’s excitement about what 2021 holds.

The Events Planner is going to enable forestry and wood products’ companies to pencil event dates into their own calendar, and industry associations, research organisations and those involved in setting up programs for 2021 can take note of the dates (and ideally look to dovetail into the tech events timing and location to add value to the industry and those likely to attend).

For product and service suppliers, it is hoped this forward planning will also enable them to schedule their involvement and to budget early on in the year for the relevant tech events. For overseas suppliers, it will enable them to lock in a time to plan visits to key customers or distributors in Australia and New Zealand (if borders reopen) and to link into the relevant technology events in this part of the world.
