“Dr Pietrzykowski has significant expertise as a well-recognised leader and communicator, including most recently in the position of Operations Lead Tasmania at Greening Australia,” Resources Minister Felix Ellis said.
“Dr Pietrzykowski also has 20 years’ experience as a commercial and business manager in tertiary (research and academic), forestry, agriculture, agroforestry, landscape restoration mining, oil and gas sectors and has a PhD in Forest Health Science from the University of Tasmania.”
She has been appointed for a three-year term.
Chair of the Board of PFT Evan Rolley said Dr Pietrzykowski would be an asset to the organisation.
“Elizabeth brings a deeply science-based experience to leadership for developing sustainable farmed landscapes. Her strong personal communication approach and leadership skills will complement the forestry expertise within the small Private Forestry Tasmania team,” Mr Rolley said.
“Elizabeth’s experience in delivering integrated tree establishment programs in agriculture settings is vital to the success of the Private Forestry Tree Alliance Program.”
The Rockliff Liberal Government congratulates Dr Pietryzkowski on her new appointment and also acknowledges the outstanding work of outgoing CEO Ms Penny Wells, including more than 30 years of working within and around the industry.
