Researchers are invited to submit proposals for new collaborative RD&E projects that advance the science of commercial forestry.
RD&E priorities are articulated in the following FWPA Investment Plans:
- Damage Agents
- Native Forest Silviculture
- Nutrition
- Forest Operations and Supply Chain
- Resource Modelling & Remote Sensing
- Plantation Silviculture
- Fire
- Genetics
The Soil microbiome investment plan is excluded from this call for proposals due to significant current investment.
Funded projects must commence in the 2023/24 financial year.
Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to engage with potential industry partners early and demonstrate meaningful industry input.
An online briefing for stakeholders wishing to submit project concepts will be held 12.00pm AEDT Thursday 11 January 2024.
