Tasmanians can hear firsthand the latest outlooks for the state’s agricultural and fisheries industries, when the ABARES Regional Outlook conference comes to Hobart on 27 April. Source: Timberbiz
ABARES Executive Director, Karen Schneider said registrations were open for the conference and encouraged Tasmanians with an interest in the agriculture sector to attend.
“This conference is a must for Tasmanians active in the agriculture sector, with new locally relevant economic data and analysis presented to help producers with business planning and forecasting,” Ms Schneider said.
“The conference sessions will focus on investing in primary industries; expanding opportunities in agriculture, and emerging opportunities and local issues.
“The regional outlook conference is also an excellent networking opportunity.”
Speakers include Karen Schneider, Caroline Gunning-Trant and Robert Curtotti from ABARES, Austrade’s Paul Fairhall, Nicola Morris from Tasmanian Irrigation, local producer Carol Bracken from Tamar Valley Hazelnuts, John Bally from the Bureau of Meteorology, Neil Stump from Oysters Tasmania and Emily Ogier from the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies.
There is no registration fee to attend but pre-conference registration is essential.
