AFCA Hall of Fame

The Australian Forest Contractors Association (AFCA) is holding its Hall of Fame dinner on 23 November. The presentations recognise the pioneers and legends of the timber industry through admittance to the Hall of Fame in three categories of recognition – Hall of Fame Life Member, Industry Icon and Service to Industry. To be nominated for admittance to the Hall of Fame Life Members Roll, harvesting or haulage contractors must have been working in the industry for at least 25 years.

A Hall of Fame Life Member can be elevated to Industry Icon level if it can be demonstrated that they have made a significant contribution to the forest industry and have been recognized as a leader in ingenuity and improvement.

A nominee can be nominated as a Hall of Fame Life Member and Industry Icon concurrently.

A Service to Industry nomination is awarded to those who have worked within industry for at least 20 years, have supported forestry contracting businesses and have contributed to the ongoing success and progress of the industry.

All nominations for awards need to be made on the official nomination form and posthumous nominations can be submitted.

Nominees are inducted at an AFCA Hall of Fame Dinner.  A nominee must be in attendance to accept the nomination. Presentations will not be made to another person on their behalf.  Any nominee who is unable to attend will be re-invited to a future event.
