“Congratulations to Senator Rice and the rest of the Greens’ parliamentary team on portfolio allocations for the 47th Parliament,” AFPA, CEO Ross Hampton said.
“I’ve personally had an excellent working relationship with Senator Rice in her forest portfolio over many years and look forward to it continuing,” he said.
Mr Hampton said that, like the Greens, Australia’s forest industries value sustainable environmental management and the opportunities for our industries to fight climate change while continuing to provide sustainable, secure and long-term employment will only increase in the future.
“I look forward to meeting again with Senator Rice to discuss Australia’s forest industries’ policy challenges and opportunities and working productively in the months and years ahead,” Mr Hampton said.
