Komatsu Forest Managing Director inspects AUSTimber 2012 site
Recently Mike Jones, Managing Director of Komatsu Forest (Australia) flew to Mount Gambier to meet with AUSTimber 2012 staff and plan the Komatsu Forest Exhibition sites. After viewing the sites for the forwarder competition, hardwood harvesting and pine harvesting, as well as the Komatsu Forest Pavilion, Mike concluded his inspection of the site with the comment “Absolutely Fantastic”.
Mount Gambier Timber Industry Club and Golf Day participation in AUSTimber 2012
The Mount Gambier Timber Industry Club (formerly Hoo Hoo) will be involved in the AUSTimber 2012 Program by displaying and selling historical forestry films in their stand on the Forestry Plantations Queensland Forest Walk, running the Golf Day on Sunday April 1, and controlling traffic at the intersection of the Forest Walk and the live demonstration truck route.
Site Office Construction begins
The site office for AUSTimber 2012, constructed using product from a diverse range of Timber Companies in both the Green Triangle and the eastern states has reached a new milestone. Representatives of AUSTimber 2012, the Vocational Education Training in Schools program and Doorways 2 Construction have now built the foundations on the main static site.
