The BDAA will present The Rebuilt Environment: A National Festival of Design centred around the 2022 BDAA National Design Conference and 2022 BDAA National Design Awards.
The conference is supported by building design tradeshow that will have the latest and most sustainable offerings from manufacturers and suppliers who service the built environment.
The conference will have a wide range of speakers including Dr Grahame Douglas who will introduce bushfire requirements for certain class 9 Buildings. Dr Douglas from the University of Western Sydney will present on these changes. He is well versed in the development of AS3959 and how extension of these requirements to certain Class 9 buildings is to be achieved. He will detail the philosophy behind the changes and will discuss the implications that practitioners will need to be aware of when applying the new requirements.
The Festival of Design includes a tradeshow, 2-day conference, an architectural walking tour, a networking party and gala dinner. It is on in Melbourne from 28 October to 1 November 2022.
