In July Cusp launched the world’s first certified plantation hardwood CLT.
“I’m looking forward to overseeing the next phase of Cusp’s growth,” Mr Tilley said.
“The first phase was to prove that we could utilise plantation Nitens to create a mass timber product for the Australian Built Environment.
“Earlier this year we not only launched the world’s first plantation hardwood CLT, but a class-leading timber element that is structurally superior to all its rivals,” he said.
Mr Tilley said the marketplace had thrown its support behind the hardwood CLT product to such an extent that demand now eclipsed supply.
As such the next phase of growth for Cusp would be to increase its capacity to match the demand of the Australian built environment for plantation hardwood products.
“We encourage timber specifiers to stay engaged with us through this time and register interest in utilising Cusp CLT in future projects,” Mr Tilley said.
Cusp Building Solutions continues to produce plantation-grown hardwood GLT and other products which are available for specifiers.
The Hermal Group is a private family-owned company with diverse business holdings including Cusp Building Solutions, Quipsmart Modular Build, Sullivans Cove Distillery, Western Port Marina, Mortim Timber wholesalers, CLTP Panel Products (plantation-based hardwood timber products), Bio-Energy International, to name a few.
Hermal has a significant and growing property development and holding arm.
