The Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) is after an enthusiastic and capable person who has strong communication skills, sound analytical and critical reasoning, the ability to liaise with different levels of government, the capacity to build relationships with key stakeholders and is comfortable with self-management.
They will be required to perform a variety of policy and administrative tasks including, increasing awareness of local government’s role in forestry at the state and national level, representing the views of member councils through submissions and policy development, initiating and managing a range of projects, facilitating regular meetings of representatives and providing secretariat and administrative services.
The position will be located at the MAV office in the Melbourne CBD, and the association is also willing to consider a contractor/consultant based arrangement.
