Standing at the gateway of Barangaroo, International House Sydney is set to become an icon for the new CBD, a pure expression of design excellence and an architectural response to Sydney’s place on the global stage.
The Overall Winner – International House Sydney by Tzannes and Lendlease
Acclaimed Australian architects Tzannes and Associates designed the engineered timber building that uses Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) and Glue Laminated Timber (Glulam) to anchor the building to the waterfront history of Barangaroo, while also creating the future of commercial space.
This amazing work has now received the accolades from an even wider audience and has been adjudged the 2017 Australian Timber Designs Overall Award Winner plus the highly coveted Peoples Choice Award.
The awards were presented at a glittering dinner in Melbourne last night.
The next edition of Australasian Timber will feature pictorial coverage of the night plus a general wrap of the awards.
