The decision has been made to postpone DesignBUILD until 2021 with the next edition of the event now due to take place from 11 to 13 May 2021, in Sydney at the ICC Sydney. The organisers believe that in postponing the 2020 exhibition, they can deliver a much more collaborative and dedicated trade platform that better serves the needs of the entire built environment. For more than 30 years, DesignBUILD has been bringing together the built environment industry and has established a strong community of exhibitors, partners, visitors that is at the forefront of the brand.
One of the UK’s leading platforms for innovation and technology in the built environment, Digital Construction Week (DCW), will make its debut at the 2021 event. This will be the first time that the brand will extend outside of the UK and support the growing demand for digitisation of the built environment.
As the event will be moving to Sydney in 2021, all visitor registration for the 2020 event will be cancelled as it was to be held in Melbourne.
Registration for the 2021 event will open later this year and further will be sent via email with a link to a new registration.
The organisers said that after speaking to the industry there is a strong need for the market to come together in a different format as the built environment is set to play an essential role in rebuilding of the national economy. Hence a new Built Environment Summit is to be held in October of this year.
This new summit will help connect leading built environment professionals and allow collaboration and discussion to drive this important recovery agenda.
