Directory of Tasmanian Forestry Services available

Growing and marketing trees requires expertise. In Tasmania, that expertise is readily available. The Directory of Tasmanian Forestry Services is a listing of the contacts required to grow, manage, harvest and sell trees in Tasmania. Source: Timberbiz

From agricultural contractors, to carbon project managers, plantation insurance providers to timber brokers, this directory will help grow the future with trees.

Each listing has provided their consent to be included, so your contact with be welcomed.

The directory was first introduced in 2012 as a Primary Wood Processor Directory with its primary intent to help private forest owners identify potential buyers for their logs and also assist primary wood processors in sourcing logs from the Tasmanian private forest estate.

In 2020, after stakeholder consultation, the directory was expanded to include a listing of additional forest services to better assist and facilitate commercial forest management in the private forestry sector. The directory has been re-named the ‘Directory of Tasmanian Forestry Services’.

This Directory lists forestry service providers over a range of categories and also primary wood processing businesses known to be operating in the State of Tasmania at the time of publication.

Not all service providers or processers have provided consent and are therefore not listed, but it is hoped that, over time, more will see the benefit of participating and that others will become aware of this service which is provided free of charge.
