Southern Cross Engineering Group recently made a number of key appointments in managerial and sales areas
Brett Hawkes – operations manager, Christchurch, New Zealand.
He will oversee and manage engineering and manufacturing operations at the group’s head office and manufacturing facility in Christchurch. Previous experience included project engineering and production management with Carter Holt Harvey and latterly as a project manager with SCE.
Mike Saint Merat – site project manager, New Zealand/Australia.
Previous experience with SCE includes engineering draughting, marketing and sales. He then managed SCE’s Hamilton branch and was also divisional manager of CWF Hamilton’s engineering division for a number of years. Mike’s career path has also included ownership of a structural engineering business and a recent marketing/sales role in the engineering sector.
Daniel Coombes – technical sales representative, Brisbane, Australia.
His early years in the timber industry led to his original appointment with SCE as a service technician, where he carried out both new installations and service on moulder and grinder equipment supplied by the company. His wide range of knowledge across many types of machines and the high standards he demands have led to his current appointment. His area of operation covers Queensland, northern New South Wales and Western Australia.
