Northern Sales and Distribution Manager Tony Johnson said the donated Forestry Corporation timber also involved supplying wood chop events at agricultural and local shows.
“The Sydney Royal Easter Show attracts around 900,000 visitors and the wood chop competition always draws a crowd, so Forestry Corporation is proud to support the event and showcase some of our locally-grown certified sustainable timber,” Mr Johnson said.
“Each wood chop event requires a different type of timber and for many years Forestry Corporation has supplied around 100 flooded gum poles from the north coast for the tree felling event, which requires competitors to cut and climb.”
