A BRAND new photographic competition designed to showcase Tasmania’s state forests has been launched by Forestry Tasmania. The inaugural Moods of the Forest photographic competition, organised by Forestry Tasmania’s Adventure Forests tourism sites, will encourage Tasmanians to experience Tasmania’s vibrant State forests and capture their experiences on film. Adventure Forest manager Tracey Tomkinson said the competition would encourage people of all photographic ability to capture the spirit of Tasmania’s State forests. The competition, which started on 1 July, ands on 1 August, and the categories include:
• senior amateur (over 16 years old)
• junior amateur (16 years and under)
• semi-professional (students of photography not making full time income from photography) categories.
