Forestry SA will undertake an assessment of the commercial viability of harvesting logs from the burnt woodlots.
Where woodlots are suitable for commercial harvest, ForestrySA will assist landowners sell log products into the local market over the next 12 months.
Landowners with fire-affected samall pine plantings (greater than 20 paddock trees) are encouraged to register for assistance via calling the Cudlee Creek Fire Recovery Hotline on 1800 302 787.
Recovery options are likely to include seeking services from local arborist businesses and subject to landowner needs and site access, coordinating a program that uses specialist tree harvesting machinery to safely and efficiently fell trees, service trees into short logs and remove log material from site.
