Frame said the timber construction revolution is underway across Australia, one that sees builders change from traditional steel and concrete construction materials to timber panel systems for medium and high-density residential buildings.
This shifting trend will be the major topic of the 2014 Frame Conference, which will be held at the Park Hyatt Melbourne, not far from Forte, the world’s tallest residential timber building.
International and local guests will host seminars about new technologies and construction trends for pre-fabricated timber and wood panel systems.
Displays by building products exhibitors from Europe, North America and Australia will also continue the prefab and engineered wood theme in a global context.
The Frame Australia event will host a national gathering of delegates from the timber and engineered wood, and building design and construction sectors.
