The current gender balance in the industry is 22.5% female employees and 77.5% male employees. Over the period of surveys, which are part of the Australian Forest industry’s Diversity and Inclusion Charter, there has been a 2.5% shift towards more females in the industry, which represents a 20% increase and the executive positions have seen a 5% increase in female representation among surveyed companies.

In the future, the survey aims to broaden its focus beyond gender and address diversity as a whole, with ongoing efforts by the industry and FWPA in this regard.

The information in this short two-minute video is based on the findings of recent industry surveys.
