This is the 10th Woodchip and Biomass Trade Conference organised by Dennis Neilson (DANA NZ) since 2005, and the third co-convened by Gavin Hao (GINGKO Consulting).
While focussed on woodchips and biomass, the convenors have expanded the program into seven themes, including:
- Global wood chip trade: regional user and supplier updates
- The status and details of >150 dedicated woodchip vessel shipping update – including 25 planned `new-builds` from 2022 to 2025′
- Global biomass trade including (biomass woodchips, wood pellets and PKS: regional updates
- Global pulp-mill status and expansions, especially the huge number of new-builds in China and Latin America from 2016-2021. A presentation and a pulp producers panel
- The future impact of Russia, with its huge pulp-log exports, its European and Pacific Asian woodchip exports, and its large and rapidly growing wood pellet exports
- Global status update of the tree-based carbon sequestration industry: country by country for several countries/regions of their Emission Trading Scheme legislation, and their carbon trading/credit policies
- `New projects New products` panel.
