South Australian forest industries have gained a powerful new voice to advocate for their combined interests in the appointment to the Australian Forest Products Association (AFPA) South Australian branch manager position of Mr Leon Rademeyer. Source: Timberbiz
Mr Rademeyer was most recently chief of staff at one of the nation’s most respected regional newspapers, The Border Watch. Prior to this role, Mr Rademeyer filled a number of senior communications roles in Australia and South Africa.
Chief executive officer AFPA, Mr Ross Hampton said: “This is coup for the forest industries of South Australia. Mr Rademeyer will bring to the role vast experience in communications and strategic business management.
“In his work at The Border Watch he has won the respect of all parties for his integrity and professionalism.
“Mr Rademeyer’s arrival will ensure the broader industry can maximise the possibilities of assisting the South Australian Government deliver on its pre-election promises to work with the industry, to grow the industry.”
Mr Rademeyer will commence mid-August and will be based in Mount Gambier.
