The Modular Construction Code is the first of its kind in the world. It has been developed through the MCCB with a number of industry partners, Monash University and support from the Victorian Government.
The Code consolidates leading edge knowledge of design and engineering advances, while integrating and enhancing the application of mathematical, scientific, and engineering principles to modular manufacturing and construction.
The Code aims to enable improved safety, productivity and quality in industrial practices and integrated solutions that advance:
- Design for performance;
- Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA); and
- Regulatory compliance.
This event will provide attendees with insights into important elements of the Code, and an opportunity to engage with key MCCB members responsible for the development of the draft Code.
The event is an important stepping-stone for finalising the Code and engagement with a larger community of technical professionals and organisations, both in Australia and internationally.
Please note that copies of the draft code will be available for viewing at the event but WILL NOT be distributed in hard or digital format, nor made available for copying.
The approach and timing of the public release will be considered by the MCCB and Monash University in January 2017, taking into account industry feedback.
