The Australian Timber Design Awards has introduced a new category to honour engineering in timber design – Merit – Excellence in Engineering. The award aims to recognise engineering as an essential aspect of the design of timber structures. Source: Timberbiz
This year the awards will celebrate an individual engineer or engineering companies that have designed a superior commercial or residential space using timber.
The process is in two parts; firstly, the project has to be an entrant in this year’s awards. From these entries, input from the public will be sort to assist in the selection of the winner.
The project does not have to be the most stunning or most prominent; it’s the excellence in engineering input that is being sorted.
