Ms Taylor said it has been a professional highlight for her to work with the forest industry to establish and nurture a network organisation which enables members to work collaboratively together on issues which affect the entire supply chain.
“There is so much to celebrate, including growing pride in the industry through our 2000+ members, establishing the Tasmanian Timber Awards, putting in place a workforce planning framework to attract the workforce of tomorrow and communicating the best practice and innovation of this industry,” Ms Taylor said.
“I will be saying many ‘thank yous’ over the next few months for the support and assistance I have received however, in the short term we are on the search for a convenor.”
The convenor role has been advertised and is an exciting CEO position, suited to executive level candidates, who can bring high level leadership, wide ranging strategic and operational skills, stakeholder engagement and management, and collaboration and governance skills. The position is part time (0.4 FTE) and allows for significant autonomy to shape next steps and outcomes.
