Stage One entries close on Friday, 28 October, which is less than three weeks away.
Entries are already coming in, but if we don’t have yours it can’t be considered, said NZ Wood’s Promotion Manager Debbie Fergie.
“Professionals worldwide are using wood in often new and imaginative ways to improve a building’s seismic and fire resilience, and New Zealand projects are right up there,” she said. “These awards are the premier space for architects, engineers and others to profile their recent work, using locally sourced timber and wood-based products, manufactured in New Zealand.”
Eligible projects must have been completed between 1 January 2015 and 29 February 2016, and of course must have significant timber content.
The new ‘Innovation in Student Design’ category will give top students from Auckland, Victoria and Canterbury Universities the chance to compete in a prestigious competition that’s been held for over 40 years – entering such a prestigious competition which will look great on any CV.
“We encourage all relevant tutors and professors to ensure their students enter,” Ms Fergie said.
Winners will be announced at an awards dinner at the Pullman Hotel in Auckland on 9 March 2017.
