OFO launches photo comp for students

Inspired by International Day of Forests on March 21, OneFortyOne has launched a photo competition, asking local students to share what they love about the forest. Source: Timberbiz

Harvesting & Roading Manager Ockert le Roux said the competition aims to encourage students to explore and connect to our unique landscape.

“Photos taken now are capturing a special moment in time, and as the landscape evolves, they become a piece of history for the region and something for people to look back on,” Ockert said.

“Whether it’s the towering trees, the hidden treasures, or just the serenity of a recharging walk through the pines – we want to know what people love about their local forest.”

Winners will be selected in primary school, and secondary school categories, and awarded with their choice of a new MacBook Air, iPad Air, or DJI drone.

“Forestry is our everyday business, we know it means different things to different people, and we’re looking forward to seeing the forests from a next generation perspective.”
