In May-June 2019, the Victorian Government (Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning and Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions) and Australian Government (Department of Agriculture and Water Resources and Department of Environment and Energy) will undertake joint engagement with stakeholders and communities to seek feedback on potential improvements to the Victorian Regional Forest Agreement (RFAs). The engagement includes a two-month online survey and public submission period to obtain feedback in response to questions posed by an independent consultation paper, and face-to-face engagement events across the State.
The RPA Office has also launched the second phase of community engagement with an open public survey on an Independent Consultation Paper which explains what the Victorian RFAs are, how they operate, and how effective they have been.
Drop-in sessions will be held across each of the five Victorian RFA Regions in June 2019, and provide an opportunity for anyone interested in the RFAs to come along and meet with representatives from the Victorian and Australian Governments and share their views. Details about the timing and location of drop-in sessions are available at www2.delwp.vic.gov.au
