The PNG Eco-Forestry Forum believes the PNG government has stripped some 130 million kina ($AUD60 million dollars) out of the Log Export Development Levy and used it to plug holes in its budget.
The levy is supposed to be used to promote development and fund infrastructure in communities affected by the logging industry. But Senson Mark from the Eco-Forestry Forum says fears were raised after the Forestry Minister was asked about the whereabouts of the money in parliament.
