A major benefit of the new families of split bearing, labyrinth seal and plummer block technologies being introduced to Australia and New Zealand is curtailing of downtime during maintenance and ease and simplicity of installation, minimising hazards.
These features are particularly critical to machinery ROI in high-volume, heavy duty and automation applications, because when a company’s major machines aren’t running, it is not getting any return from its expensive plant.
“Schaeffler Australia is honoured to be a finalist in the competitive category of safety,’’ Schaeffler Australia managing director Andre Kluge said.
“Safety is one of our core values, and it’s built into all of our products. Not only can our leading trio of split technologies make a huge range of bulk handling tasks safer, but they can also save time and cost, providing a triple benefit to our valued customers.’’
The Bulk Handling Awards, sponsored by SEW Eurodrive, Komatsu and Schneck Process, will involve a Gala Dinner event in Melbourne on August 22.
