The University of Tasmania’s Centre for Sustainable Architecture with Wood (CSAW) second series of Master Classes in timber production and use are being held next month in both Brisbane on July 21 and Launceston on July 28.
This series is tailored specifically for businesses that design timber buildings or structures, produce timber, fabricate and provide timber components, or supply timber and wood products to the construction industry.
The subject matter for the class is about timber, its origins and key technical aspects influencing its behaviour in production and use in the building environment.
Master Classes are not just information sessions. They endeavour to move beyond this and provide understandings of key topics and issues relevant to timber production, fabrication and use.
