Service with a smile

LONG-SERVING employees who have reached 40 year, 35 year and 25 year milestones with Forestry Tasmania have been recognised at events held at Smithton, Scottsdale, Hobart, and Geeveston.
Between them the staff have clocked up total of 715 years with FT, with Murchison staff contributing 215 years’ service, Bass 135 years, Derwent/Head Office 295 years, and Huon 70 years. Although Mersey also has many long serving staff, none reached the 40, 35 or 25 year milestones this year.
Murchison senior forest officer Ken Nichols, Bass forest officer Paul Kelly, and Head Office mapping manager Tony Rainbird and surveyor Dan Wolfert were all recognised for 40 years with FT.
