“We play an important role in the communities in which we operate and assume great responsibility for both society and the environment. It is gratifying to receive this recognition for our hard work,” Maria Baldin, Södra’s Director of Communications and Sustainability said.
Södra took second place in the HR services company Randstad’s Employer Brand Research 2019, a survey of 6200 Swedes conducted by Kantar TNS.
According to Randstad, companies that give back to society are increasingly popular among Swedish employees. This trend is particularly strong in the youngest group in the labour market. Social responsibility is given the highest ranking by the Generation Z age group.
“In recent years, Södra has carried out major investments and attaches great importance to attracting, developing and retaining employees.
“The results of this survey have given us new energy and are also proof that we are on the right path. It is really great that green industries are placed so high up on the list when the public rank Swedish businesses,” Christer Thörn, HR Director at Södra said.
In the 2018 survey, Södra was ranked Sweden’s most attractive employer.
