Tarkine Forest Adventures will close for the month of August to allow a number of potentially dangerous tree limbs to be removed.
The closure will be effective from 3-28 August.
While the tree limbs do not pose an immediate risk, they are old and we believe it is wise to err on the side of caution and remove them before they may endanger our visitors’ safety. It is necessary to close the site while the works are carried out, to ensure that we comply with safety standards.
We chose the month of August to carry out these works as it is low season and would cause the least inconvenience to visitors and to our stakeholders in the tourism industry. Nevertheless, we apologise for any difficulties that the closure may cause.
The attraction will re-open for the spring in September, which is always a great time of year to experience all the activities on offer at this gateway to the Tarkine.
