Diana MacTiernan, manager community education and training from the Equal Opportunity Commission will act as facilitator. The aim of the discussion is to focus on work/life balance, and family responsibility strategies useful for women who work in the industry.
Following the discussion group the Forest Products Industry Advisory Group is meeting which is also open to the women’s group. This group will discuss issues around workforce development.
The WFTN includes women working in forestry, timber and wood processing with the aim of supporting and recognising their work. Men with an interest in the challenges and achievements of women in the industry are also welcome to attend.
