If you design, specify, install or inspect timber framing, decorative timber and timber connections for residential projects there is a special seminar on Wednesday, 21 October from 1.00pm for 1.15 – 5.00pm at Rydges Parramatta.
The program for the event includes:
- Residential design case studies – Dulwich Hill Residence with Clinton Cole, Managing Director, CplusC Architectural workshop. Winner of ATDA 2015.
Mr Cole is the founder and director of CplusC. He holds two degrees in architecture and is a registered architect, a licensed builder and accredited construction supervisor with over 20 years of experience in the architecture and building industry.
- WoodSolutions & Update – CAD drawings/NCC update/Ask an Expert with Dr Fred Moshiri, WoodSolutions
WoodSolutions is an Australian timber industry campaign to assist design and building professionals specify and build with timber products. Dr Moshiri is a qualified trainer and experienced presenter on timber engineering. He received his PhD from UTS in 2014 and joined TDA as structural engineer. He is a branch member of Civil Structural panel of Engineers Australia and has been actively involved in research on timber engineering.
- Efficient Residential Timber Design with Tim Rossiter – State manager NSW & WA , MiTek
Mr Rossiter is member of Australian Standards committee responsible for AS1684 – Residential Framed Construction and part of Standards group that created AS4440 – Installation of nail plated timber roof trusses.
With 28 years in the timber truss and frames industry, Mr Rossiter continues to be involved with all issues of timber framing. He obtained his Degree in Civil Engineering with first class honours from UTS.
