Following on from Frame Australia’s conference in Melbourne a three-day tour is planned to visit Australia’s largest CLT plant in Wodonga and a number of mass and timber framed buildings in Sydney. Source: Timberbiz
The tour commences in Melbourne, travelling by coach to Wodonga to see XLAM’s CLT plant; following this, flights to Sydney have been arranged as well as overnight accommodation, if required.
The tour continues Thursday 21 June and Friday 22 June, inspecting many buildings currently being constructed or recently completed in and around Sydney. The buildings range from cross laminated timber apartments, offices, schools and community halls as well as a laminated veneer lumber industrial shed and a 6-storey timber framed apartment building.
The tour is strictly limited to building design professionals: architects, developers, engineers, certifiers, cost planners, etc with an interest in timber design.
CPD certificates of attendance available for all professionals. Informal CPD points maybe available for professional bodies.
Cost of the tour includes a flight from Albury to Sydney and accommodation on Wednesday and Thursday nights in Sydney, breakfast, lunch and bus travel. A reduce rate is available where accommodation is not required.
